"Last spring's High School Theatre Festival differed from most performances I had ever done. Not only was I given the opportunity to perform in a Broadway-sized theatre, I also watched incredible performances from nearby schools. Being someone who studies Opera in college, it's great to be a part of a community that contributes through the arts."
- Douglas Pinsky, 2010 High School Theatre Festival Participant
The Pasadena Playhouse is rooted in community outreach and education through the support of ambitious programs for our local schools and fellow nonprofit organizations. Each year we engage at-risk youth, young children, families, persons with disabilities, low-income residents and members of our community at large in a variety of enriching, educational, meaningful and fun theatrical programs. Often, this includes bringing members of our community to the theatre for the first time in their lives.
