Our address is 39 South El Molino Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101. Our phone is: (626) 356-7529.

Parking is convenient and inexpensive. There is a large, well-lit lot behind the theatre with an automated payment system. There are also several privately operated lots nearby which are open for most show times. Street parking on Green and Colorado is often available at no cost for patrons arriving early. Please read all signs.

There is a passenger unloading zone directly in front of the theatre, and an alley north of the main entrance for patrons needing extra assistance.

Go Metro to the Pasadena Playhouse
Take the Metro Gold Line to the Lake Avenue Station. Walk one block north on Lake to Maple Street. Connect to Metro Bus 180 and take it to Colorado Boulevard and Madison Avenue, just one block from the Pasadena Playhouse. Customized routing is also available using the Metro Trip Planner on www.metro.net

From San Gabriel Valley east:
Take the 210 Freeway heading WEST and exit at LAKE AVE. Turn left and go four lights to COLORADO BLVD. Turn right. Go three lights to EL MOLINO AVE and turn left. The theatre is 1/2 block down the street on the right.

From Santa Clarita area: Take the 5 Freeway SOUTH to the 210 Freeway EAST. After the tunnel, take the first exit (LAKE AVE) and turn right. Go three lights to COLORADO BLVD and turn right. Go three lights to EL MOLINO AVE and turn left. The theatre is 1/2 block down the street on the right.

From San Fernando Valley East: Take the 134 Freeway heading EAST through to the 210 East, exiting at LAKE AVE. Turn right and go three lights to COLORADO BLVD. Turn right. Go three lights to EL MOLINO AVE and turn left. The theatre is 1/2 block down the street on the right.

From San Fernando Valley west: Take the 101 Freeway SOUTH to the 134 Freeway EAST. Connect with the 210 East and exit at LAKE AVE. Turn right and go three lights to COLORADO BLVD. Turn right. Go three lights to EL MOLINO AVE. and turn left. The theatre is 1/2 block down the street on the right.

From the Hollywood and the Westside: Take the 101 Freeway SOUTH or the 10 Freeway EAST to the 110 Freeway NORTH in downtown Los Angeles. Continue on the 110 North (known as the Pasadena Freeway) all the way to the end of the freeway. It becomes Arroyo Parkway. Continue north on Arroyo Parkway. Turn right at GREEN STREET. Go eight lights to EL MOLINO AVE and turn left. The theatre is 1/2 block down the street on the left.

From Orange County: Take the 5 Freeway heading NORTH. Connect with the 605 North and then connect with the 210 West. Take the LAKE AVE off ramp. Turn left and go four lights to COLORADO BLVD. Turn right. Go three lights to EL MOLINO AVE and turn left. The theatre is 1/2 block down the street on the right.

 

Patron Information

We want your first visit to the Pasadena Playhouse to be a wonderful experience. Here are some guidelines to help you.

If you already are in possession of your tickets, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the show. If you are holding tickets at the box office, we recommend arriving 20-30 minutes prior to the show.

Here is some additional information you may find useful:

Emergency Telephone During a Performance
(626) 356-7529. Please leave your seating location with those who may need to contact you.

Late Seating: It is not possible to seat you in your assigned location after the performance has begun. A lobby monitor is present so you don’t miss a portion of the production. We will seat you at the back of the theatre if there is an appropriate pause.

Assisted Listening Devices: A limited number of these devices are available (first-come first-serve) free of charge in the lobby. Ask an usher when entering the theatre and we will assist you. The house opens usually 30 minutes prior to the performance.

Personal Hearing Aids: Please remember to turn off your hearing aid when using an in-house assisted listening device. Personal hearing aids used during the performance should be set at a level that does not distract other patrons.

Wheelchair Seating*: We will do our best to accommodate special seating requirements – some of the best places for viewing in our house are reserved for patrons using wheelchairs. Please call (626) 356-PLAY for tickets and information – handicapped seating is not yet available for purchase through the web.
* Please note that the Carrie Hamilton Theatre is not yet handicapped accessible.

Smoking: Herbal cigarettes and other approved devices may be used on stage during our performances. If you like, an usher will be happy to move you towards the back of the house to make your experience more enjoyable.

Children: Because young children can be distracting to patrons nearby, this theatre does not normally admit children under six years of age. Each patron, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Miscellaneous Tips: Please unwrap all candy wrappers and turn off all communication devices before the show begins. The theatre is air conditioned for your comfort so please dress appropriately. Please avoid wearing strong perfumes or cologne.

Student Tickets: Students with current valid student id can purchase specially priced tickets to all performance- based on availability. Call the box office for details. (626) 356-PLAY.

Management reserves the right to refuse admission and to make any alteration in the cast - which may be rendered necessary by illness or other unavoidable causes.
