Eligibility for membership shall be extended to all those persons who, in any way, have been associated with The Pasadena Playhouse, including any child, spouse, life partner or relative of a member in good standing, past or present.

It is now easier than ever to join! Just print out this MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION, fill it in, and mail it with your check to the address on the form.

 

Once processed, you will receive the following

 

member privileges:

 

“STAGE WHISPERS”You will receive a bimonthly newsletter packed with information about the PPA&A and Playhouse events. “Stage Whispers” keeps members informed about each other’s careers, classmates, associates and valuable information about what’s happening at the Playhouse.

 

COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS - The Pasadena Playhouse has arranged for PPA&A members to receive two complimentary tickets to mainstage productions, as they are available. For tickets, call the box office at (626) 356-7529 and inform them you are a PPA&A member in good standing (dues currently paid). You must present your photo ID and membership card when you pick up your tickets on the night of the performance.

 

ANNUAL PPA&A BRUNCH – Each year (usually in June), PPA&A members convene in the Pasadena area for the general meeting of the association. Many celebrities and media personnel are also in attendance for the luncheon and awards ceremony.

 

GUIDED TOURS OF THE PASADENA PLAYHOUSE – PPA&A members conduct and assist with tours of the Pasadena Playhouse facility, relating historical, college, and anecdotal information about the “State Theatre of California.” (Tours are available by appointment by contacting Penn Genthner, Playhouse Archivist at (626) 737-2865 or send an email to pgenthner@pasadenaplayhouse.org.)

 

STUDENT MATINEES – The Playhouse and its educational outreach program provide student matinees for most mainstage productions. PPA&A members usher these important shows by getting the students seated, answering pre-show questions and assisting with post-show Q&A events.

 

PLAYHOUSE ARCHIVES – PPA&A members are instrumental in assembling and preserving the rich history of the Playhouse and of the alumni of the College of Theatre Arts.

 

SERVICE TO YOUR ASSOCIATION – In addition to being eligible to run for the PPA&A Board of Directors and take part in the activities described above, members in good standing may also serve on various committees, contribute to and help publish “Stage Whispers” and assist in numerous other special projects needed by the PPA&A or the Playhouse.

 

PPA&A BOARD OF DIRECTORS – Elections are held yearly for various offices. If you wish to run for any open position on the Board please let us know. Meetings are usually held on the fourth Tuesday of every month (except June and December) at 7:30 in the third floor conference room at the Playhouse offices (in the school building). Meetings are always open to the general membership.
