Further, the purpose is to stimulate and encourage among the membership, an interest in the integrity an ideals of theatre education and related arts as exemplified by the Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts.

It shall also assist the individual's education through awarding scholarships to needy theatre arts students via the Henry and Joyce Sumid Scholarship Fund.  We shall support the Pasadena Playhouse State theatre of California, Inc., in the area of education by underwriting the Educator Guides, which provide classroom activity supplements to the student matinee experience.

To further accommodate our non-profit status, we maintain archives and a library of theatre arts books, scripts, and other materials for education and research purposes for those interested in stage, film, and television.
