Workshops, Residencies and Speakers!

Pasadena Playhouse’s expert teaching artists and wide network of industry professionals are available to to engage with your students! The Education Department can coordinate a variety of opportunities based on your school’s specific needs and the age of your students. Options include:

Theatre Arts workshops for K-12
Panels or speakers of working theater artists/professionals
Residencies

Group Tickets

Groups of at least 10 students can receive up to 35% OFF of their tickets to any show at Pasadena Playhouse. You may add-on on a pre-show workshop (starting at $200) in accordance with your learning goals.

PUSD Partnership

Student Matinees

Since the launch of our Youth and Family Programming, Pasadena Playhouse has provided PUSD elementary school students with FREE school-day matinees, ensuring all students in our community have the opportunity to see live theater that was made for them. In 2024 all PUSD TK-2nd graders attended Grumpy Monkey: The Musical; in 2025, all PUSD 3rd and 4th graders attended Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile: The Musical; and in 2026, all PUSD 5th and 6th graders attended Song of the North.

All-Star Musical

Pasadena Playhouse is proud to partner with PUSD for their All-Star Musical Program, beginning with 2023’s Into the Woods and continuing with 2025’s Hadestown. The Playhouse provides professional mentors to the cast, crew and creative team behind the All-Star Musical.
