Parking is conveniently located directly across from the theatre in the Playhouse Plaza Parking Structure. Pasadena Playhouse does not validate parking.

Mobility and Seat Locations

Please contact Patron Services to arrange accommodations for persons in wheelchairs or persons with disabilities and their attendants or companions. If your wheelchair status changes after you have purchased your ticket, please contact Patron Services before the show. Ushers cannot physically assist patrons into or out of theater seats, wheelchairs, or vehicles. Accessible seating is available on the orchestra level only. Service animals are welcome at Pasadena Playhouse.

Assistive Listening Devices

Access Performances

Open Captioning
Open Captioning performances are designed for patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing. Audience members requesting open captioning are seated in view of a video screen with text descriptions synchronized to the onstage action. Open captioning is provided on one Sunday matinee for each Mainstage Pasadena Playhouse production, the specific performance date is posted on the event page of each show.

Open captioning seating locations are intended for use by individuals who require the features of these seats and their companions – by purchasing tickets for open captioning seating through Pasadena Playhouse, you indicate that you or a member of your party requires the features provided by the seating locations that are purchased.

Audio Description
Audio description services are designed for patrons who are blind or have low vision and include verbal descriptions of actions, costumes, scenery, and other visual elements of the production. Guests may request a listening device to hear live audio descriptions. Audio description is provided on one Sunday matinee for each Mainstage Pasadena Playhouse production, the specific performance date is posted on the event page of each show.

Attendance Policies

Late Arrivals
In consideration of our artists and patrons, late seating will take place during the first appropriate break in the performance at the discretion of management. House management will direct you to available seats that may not be the original seats you purchased. For the convenience of latecomers, the performance in progress may be viewed and heard on monitors in the lobby.

Age Restrictions
No child under the age of 5 will be admitted into the theater. We ask that everyone in your party, regardless of age, be able to sit quietly through a performance without disturbing other patrons or the artists. Ushers may ask parents whose children are disruptive to take them outside the theater. If there is repeated disruption, we reserve the right to revoke admission and refund your ticket price, excluding service charges. Patrons of all ages must have a ticket to enter Pasadena Playhouse and must sit in the seat indicated on the ticket.

Production advisory
Please contact Patron Services to be notified about productions with content including herbal cigarettes, theatrical fog, strobe lights, gunshots, strong language, nudity or sexual content, violence, or any other items to which patrons may have sensitivity. You can also check the Content Advisory tab on individual show pages.

Theater courtesy
As a courtesy to the artists and fellow patrons, please turn off cell phones and all other electronic devices prior to the performance. Please refrain from talking and any disruptive noise-making during the performance. Neither photography nor the use of electronic devices are allowed during performances.

Restrooms
Restrooms, including accessible facilities, are available in the Pasadena Playhouse lobby starting 45 minutes before each performance. Public restrooms are also available in the lobby of the Playhouse Plaza directly across the street from the Pasadena Playhouse.

Digital Tickets

Pasadena Playhouse is thrilled to introduce a new Digital Ticket experience for performances beginning May 2024.

  • When purchasing a ticket, select “Digital Ticket” as your delivery method and your tickets will be instantly placed in your Digital Ticket Wallet.
  • To access your Digital Ticket Wallet, use the same email address and password you used to purchase tickets online and log-in to mytickets.pasadenaplayhouse.org.
  • Inside your Digital Ticket Wallet, you’ll be able to easily share tickets with friends and add tickets to your Apple or Google Wallet.
  • Don’t forget to bookmark your Digital Ticket Wallet in your mobile phone browser to quickly access your tickets at the theater.

Engage in behavior that is conducive to a communal and respectful atmosphere. This includes refraining from using foul language, engaging in disruptive behavior, or creating disturbances that may disrupt others’ enjoyment.

Follow Instructions
Follow instructions and guidelines provided by staff members and volunteers. These instructions may include safety protocols or other guidelines aimed at ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

Respect the Space
Help us maintain a clean and tidy environment by disposing of trash properly and respecting the facilities. Do not deface or vandalize any part of the premises.

Be Considerate of OtherS
Be mindful of the needs and experiences of other visitors. Avoid blocking pathways, aisles, or seats, and be considerate of others’ enjoyment of the arts.

Report Concerns
If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to a staff member or volunteer immediately. We are committed to addressing any concerns promptly and ensuring that all patrons, staff members, volunteers, and artists feel safe and respected.

We value your feedback and suggestions for improving our organization and services. Please feel free to share any comments or concerns with us so that we can continue to enhance the patron experience.
