Theatermakers |
Ages 11 – 15In this exciting introduction to devised theater, students ages 11–15 will become actors, playwrights, and changemakers as they collaborate to create an original theater piece inspired by the theme of Resistance and Resilience. Through improvisation, physical exploration, and creative writing, students will transform their ideas into a powerful performance, developing each scene through a collaborative creative process. As they workshop and rehearse their original production, they’ll discover their unique artistic voices, strengthen their acting and storytelling skills, and gain confidence in working as an ensemble. The ten-week session culminates in a final performance for friends and family, celebrating the students’ creativity while demonstrating how theater can spark conversation, inspire empathy, and create social change.
