Leo Braudy

Leo Braudy is University Professor and Bing Professor of English and American Literature at USC. A cultural historian and film critic, he is the author of ten books, including The Frenzy of Renown: Fame and its History and From Chivalry to Terrorism: War and the Changing Nature of Masculinity. He also co-edits the widely used anthology Film Theory and Criticism, whose eighth edition appeared in 2016. His most recent book is Haunted, a study of the cultural shapes of fear from the religious conflicts of the Reformation to modern horror literature and film. Its paperback edition has been published this month.
