Emily Batsford (they/them) is a theater maker and educator living in Brooklyn, NY. Their artistry prioritizes inclusion and accessibility, and includes immersive and physical theater practices, puppetry, & experimental forms. Emily has an extensive performance history, traveling internationally and across the United States. True to their passion for devising new work, Emily has also participated in countless work-in-progress showings at theatrical incubators across the five boroughs. Notable performance credits include:  Mr. Popper’s Penguins (first national tour), Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train Live! (first national tour), Fiddler On The Roof (broadway national tour), and official voice &  performer for Scooby Doo in Warner Bros. Scooby Doo Live! In New York, he has puppeteered with entities including Snake in The Boot Collective, Fictionville Studios, Foreshadow Co., and Concrete Temple Theatre. Ray Dondero is a multidisciplinary designer, artist, and lover of all things puppetry. They are a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut’s Design and Technical Theatre undergraduate program, focusing on scenic and costume design, as well as printmaking, puppetry, and animation. Their scenic and costume design for REVOLT. SHE SAID. REVOLT AGAIN. was recognized and showcased by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Assuming the role of company manager, they are proud to have cultivated a loving and supportive environment in which this incredible team has made magic!

Harrison Greene is a puppeteer, actor, and musician based in Brooklyn, NY. A company member of Chinese Theatre Works, he performs Budaixi and traditional and modern shadow puppetry in NYC and abroad. Recent Puppetry Credits: Triple Zhongkui Pageant (CTW), Chinoiserie (Ping Chong & Co), Nora From Queens (Comedy Central), Manufacturing Mischief (The Tank), Tiger Tales (CTW), Caveman Ballet (Boxcutter Collective), etc. Harrison can also be seen out in the wild busking with his Caja de Teatro Lambe Lambe or guitar. If you see him, small donations are greatly appreciated, but nobody is turned away for lack of funds.

J Hann

J Hann (they/them) is a puppet artist, puppetry director, and fiber artist. J’s unique textural work draws inspiration from the past and is centered in the weird, wonderful, and whimsical. They have been a resident artist at Governors Island, The Object Movement Festival, and an Emerging Artist at the 2022 Eugene O’Neill Puppetry Conference. Their original full length Queer-centric puppet show, Bequeathed, premieres in June 2026. Bequeathed has received support from The Jim Henson Foundation, The New York State Council for the Arts, Dixon Place, The Jerome Foundation, and Two Chairs Inc. J’s puppetry has been seen on big and small screens, and at BAM, Lincoln Center, St. Ann’s Warehouse, HERE Arts Center, La MaMa, The Tank, Dixon Place, and in venues across the globe. As a maker, they have designed puppets and props for Trusty Sidekick Theater and NYU. They are a resident fabricator with Official Puppet Business and LAB LAB. Recent projects include puppetry direction for Cynthia by Zoe Lohmann; El Niño at the Metropolitan Opera; Lunch with Sonia with Loco 7 Dance Puppet Theatre; Song of the North by Hamid Rahmanian; and serving as team lead and head puppeteer of “Tiptoe,” a 17-foot reindeer with Phantom Limb Company for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Monica has received support from The Jim Henson Foundation to create Endless Forms, an original sci-fi puppet project set to premiere at LaMama ETC in November, 2026. Sam Rotengold is a theater artist, puppeteer, and writer. As a Thomas J. Watson Fellow, Sam trained in traditional forms of puppetry around the world. Clay Westman is an actor, musician, and comedian; though his parents are still a little disappointed the whole doctor thing didn’t work out. He has studied masked theatre at the Commedia Dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy; and is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, where he could have studied medicine, but chose to pursue the arts instead. He doesn’t quite know how he got here or where he’s going next, but, gradually, he is learning to be ok with that, and he hopes you are too.

His works have been presented in Europe, South America, and Russia, nationally, and in many local venues including Baryshnikov Arts, The Joyce Theater, New York Live Arts, Lincoln Center, City Center, and Danspace Project. Hamid Rahmanian is a 2014 John Guggenheim Fellow and the recipient of the 2020 United States Artists Fellowship.  His work centers on theater, moving image, and graphic arts. His work has been exhibited in international competitions and publications. His films have screened at Venice, Sundance, Toronto, Tribeca, and IDFA film festivals and broadcast on PBS, Sundance Channel, IFC, Channel 4, BBC, DR2, and Al Jazeera.   Mr. Rahmanian undertook the immense task of illustrating and commissioning a new translation and adaptation of the tenth-century Persian epic poem Shahnameh by Ferdowsi, entitled Shahnameh: The Epic of the Persian Kings (2013). This best-selling 600-page art book, which the Wall Street Journal lauded as a “masterpiece,” is currently in its second edition (Liveright Publishing). In 2017, he released an immersive audiobook version of Shahnameh: The Epic of the Persian King, with an introduction by Frances Ford Coppola. In 2018, he released a pop-up book, entitled Zahhak: The Legend of the Serpent King(Fantagraphics Books) in English and French, which received the Meggendorfer Prize for the Best Pop-Up Book and was hailed as “Simply breathtaking” by Le Monde. In 2014, Rahmanian shifted his focus to theater arts, working with shadows and digital media.  To date, he has created five theater pieces: Zahhak: The Legend of the Serpent King (2014), Mina’s Dream (2016), commissioned by the Onassis Foundation), and UNIMA-USA award winning Feathers Of Fire (2016) which toured in 23 cities around the world to an audience of over 100,000. In 2019, he was commissioned by Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble to create a video animation for their new multimedia project, Heroes Take Their Stand. Mr. Rahmanian completed his latest stage production, Song of the North, which premiered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2022 and is currently touring around the world. His most recent project, the new pop-up book, The Seven Trials of Rostam, is now available.

He is recognized internationally for his ground-breaking work with World Music groups Niyaz and Axiom Of Choice, both of which he co-founded. A highly-gifted composer and a  visionary, Loga is greatly respected for his ability to adapt the Persian classical repertoire to his own unique and modern compositions. In 2014  Loga was nominated for a Canadian JUNO Award in the Category of “Best World Music Album” for the album he recorded with musical partner  Azam Ali titled, “Lamentation of Swans.” He continues to produce albums and tour worldwide with NIYAZ.

Ellis Durand is a NYC-based theater artist, comedian, and writer. As a stage manager they’ve worked at HERE Arts Center, Abrons Arts Center, The Flea, New Victory Theater, and have directed/assistant directed works at HERE Arts Center, The Tank, and Manhattan School of Music. As a comedian, they’ve performed in the Vermont Comedy Festival, with the Here to Pee tour, at The Bell House, Club Cumming, and more! Their comedy duo, Sweet Princes, has an album slated for release later this year.

There is one publicly available student matinee performance on March 25 at 9AM. Tickets for this performance are $10 per student and available to school groups only. Pre and Post-show workshops available at your school site for $300 per class hour.
